Laser therapy is a thoroughly tested, clinically-proven method of hair removal. Treatment is relatively quick, and removes unwanted body hair without damaging the surrounding skin. The laser works by emitting a gentle beam of energy that passes through the skin to the hair follicle. The energy is then transformed into heat, which damages the hair follicle. TKS™ makes it possible for laser energy to “select” only hair follicles, while sparing the surrounding skin from damage.

Because hair grows in cycles, you will need 5 treatments on average. The laser will disable follicles that are actively producing hair at the time of treatment. At any time, some hair follicles are dormant. Repeat sessions will treat these follicles when they re-enter the growth phase. LaserFacial is a comfortable, non-ablative, non-invasive treatment that can reduce the appearance of visible facial vessels, diffuse redness, acne scars, rosacea, sun damage, brown spots, and large pores. It has been FDA cleared to reduce fine wrinkles by warming the upper dermis of the skin, improving the appearance of your skin. The result is a healthy looking and vibrant appearance. LaserFacial is a comfortable form of skin therapy. Typically the client describes the treatment as a gentle warming of the surface. This means you will be able to see subtle, yet consistent results after treatment, without unwanted side effects such as bruising or excessive skin irritation. The treatment can be performed in a relaxed, comfortable manner without the use of local anesthesia. The average treatment takes forty-five minutes to an hour.

Telangiectasias, or facial vessels, are the dilated capillaries that commonly appear on the surface of the face and in areas around the nose, cheeks and above the neckline. Capillaries are tiny blood vessels that are present throughout the body. Prolonged sun exposure, aging, trauma, and other factors can cause capillaries to become dilated and visible. There is also a hereditary factor in developing telangiectasias. LaserFacial therapy will help your appearance by treating any visible traces of these unsightly veins. Diffuse redness is a general appearance of facial redness, such as rosy cheeks. As with facial telangiectasia, this condition is a result of dilated capillaries, however, the appearance is more of a general redness rather than discrete well-defined vessels. Laser Treatment of Spider Veins of the Face and Legs

Spider veins on the face and legs bother millions of people. Spider veins (or telangiectasias) are red, bluish, or purple veins that can result from sun exposure, use of oral contraception, hormone therapy, the aging process, or heredity.

Advanced laser technology offers an effective treatment for facial and spider veins. With a beam of light, the laser delivers a prescribed dose of energy to the spider veins. The laser “selectively” coagulates the problem veins while sparing the surrounding areas. After the treatment, there is no down time, and the vessels will slowly and naturally disappear. Some spider veins will actually disappear immediately, and some will take up to six weeks to resolve. Typically only one or two treatments are needed.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) What is IPL Skin Rejuvenation? IPL Skin Rejuvenation is a series of light treatments that improve the appearance of Rosacea, flushing, sun damaged skin, age spots, skin texture, and photo aging.  The treatment also improves mild acne scars, reduces large pores, and reduces fine lines.  This exciting treatment involves little or no “down time”.  You can resume normal activities immediately. How does the treatment work? An intense light is applied in a series of gentle pulses over the treatment area.  Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the abnormally dilated vessels or pigmentation.  The heat impairs the vessel or lesion, and the body begins its natural healing process.  The lesion will darken before it flakes off or is absorbed by the body.  Treatment can be given as frequently as every 3 weeks. How many treatments will I need? For optimal results, a series of 5 treatments are recommended.  Some patients see significant improvement in 2 to 3 treatments; others require more.  Follow-up treatments may be desired once a year to maintain results. What is treatment like? Treatment may vary from 15 to 45 minutes.  First, the treated area is cleansed and a cool gel is applied.  When the pulse light is delivered, the sensation of discomfort is minimal.  After treatment, the gel is removed, the skin is cleansed, and a sunblock is applied.  For sensitive skin, a cool compress is applied following treatment. Are there any possible side effects? Side effects are rare.  Immediately following treatment, the skin may appear flushed, brown pigmented spots may appear darker, and capillaries may be more visible.  In rare instances, temporary swelling and/or blistering can occur.  Limiting sun exposure for several weeks before and after treatment will greatly minimize the risk of complications. What improvement will I see? Patients have a high degree of satisfaction with their results.  Many have seen 70% to 90% improvements.  After successive treatments, the skin will feel smoother and appear to have a more even tone.
